Parents use these questions to discuss Sunday’s sermon with your children. Feel free to pick and choose the questions that are most helpful (or add your own). Pick a time that works best for your family, maybe around the dinner table, at bed time or on a drive.

Read the passage together: 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1

Pastor Eric started his sermon with the question “Should we throw out our TVs?”  What did you think about the question?  How would you answer that if someone asked you?

Pastor Eric said we often separate life into things that are sacred and things that are secular.  Give examples of things we put in each category.  What is wrong with thinking of life in this way?

Read Vs 31, what does it mean to do “all to the glory of God?”  What are things you do every day that don’t seem to really involve God?  What is wrong with this kind of thinking?

What does math have to do with God?   What about English or biology?

Read 1 Corinthians 11:1. What instruction does Paul give us?  What kind of example was Paul?  What kind of example are you?  Could you say what Paul says here, why or why not?
